About Me

My name is Christina Callahan and I'm the creator of the Rustic Mermaid. I started The Rustic Mermaid in 2018 as a creative outlet and became obsessed with finding shells, accentuating their natural beauty by transforming them into gifts and creating fun content to share on my social media. My hope is to bring the inspiration I find in the sea and in nature to others. To me, these natural gifts serve as a reminder that the most beautiful things can be found in the most ordinary and unexpected places.

A big component of my business is giving back to the community where the shells are found. For every purchase, I donate $3 to Bridgeport Rescue Mission to fund a meal for someone who needs it.
